Bergbieten

The Historian

Mentioned as of 1120. Property of the bishops of Strasbourg.
The " Armagnac " plundered the village first during the Peasants'War, then during the Thirty Years War in the 15th century, with the notable consequence the destruction of the castle.

The Stroller




The vestiges of the old fortifications are still visible as well as the remainders of a barn called " Barn of Tithe".


A treasure of mediaeval coins was also discovered there.


The village is proud of its rural church Saint Laurent.
